Throughout the years we have built our reputation as a source of reliable advice on the use and purchase of the tools we sell.
Our History
Hans Kober, the
owner of JFF Jeweler Supply, began his career as a hand engraver in
Germany. He moved to America in 1967 to work as the hand engraver
at Cohen Co. Jeweler's Services in downtown Atlanta for Otto Cohen. In
1976, Hans and Otto decided to become business partners and open Just
for Fun - Cohen Co in Doraville, GA.
Just For Fun
began as a jewelry repair shop with a small shelf carrying various
jeweler's tools such as casting equipment. Over time, the demand
for jewelers tools was enough that Hans created a separate tools
department in the early 1980s. Hans' commitment to carrying only
the best quality tools, built Just for Fun a solid reputation and
following among jewelers in the South East. With the success of
the store, Hans decided to give up hand engraving completely in the late
1990s.
In 2000, Otto
Cohen retired, closing the repairs department. Hans deciding to
keep the jeweler supply store open, changed the name from Just for Fun,
to JFF Jeweler Supply.
